Here's to 2010

Yes, it is that time of year again - it rolls around so darn quickly doesn't it? I am not making any resolutions this year because I always give up on them before January is out.......I will however put my self on the line and say that i am going to be more organized with my time. You know, write list, check it off, use my diary more and make sure I have all the dates for the children's school commitments pencilled in. Oh yes, make sure I follow up suppliers without fail, all the time, even if the fabric is not due in, to lessen those tricky conversations I sometimes have to have with my clients. You get the gist? To help me in this quest, here are my my new best friends for 2010.

I need one of these!

We are heading to the beach today for a day of fun in the sun as it will be 36 degrees. Wishing I had purchased one of these gorgeous Aussie Cocopani  brollys though...... The yellow is the my fave.  (which has just reminded me to remember to do about post about all things yellow and white sometime in 2010!)

Pool time.

The temperature is set to rise over the next few days and we are in for a hot NYE. One of these is on my wish list for 2010.

Domino day!

For those of you who didn't receive your desired reading matter for Christmas, here is the perfect solution! LONNY -  a magazine you can read online! Michelle Adams  and her partner, photographer  Patrick Cline  set this amazing mag. up after the demise of too many shelter publications, mainly the beloved DOMINO. (weep.....) Well, we can all dry our tears because the second edition of Lonny delivers with a punch. A huge congratulations Michelle and Patrick for an amazing magazine full of edgy exciting interiors and ideas.  Thank you to you both, you insanely talented and creative people.  Love it!

Monday - itis!

So, one of the things always on the top of my wish list at Christmas time is a great book.  As tomorrow is officially a public holiday 'down under' I can well and truly justify my reluctance to get back into work mode with a little holiday reading. Ta da!........what more could a girl wish for than this to satisfy a pure lazy day at home?

Boxing Day

Those of you interested in cricket will be familiar with the tradition of the Boxing Day test in Melbourne. Well, a little fun of our own was had today and the conditions were perfect.

I do need to add that in the true spirit of Christmas, cricket was followed by consuming plenty of cold ham, turkey and Christmas cake.  

A Blue Christmas........

It struck me as I was looking at some of my Christmas Day stash this morning that there seemed to be a predominant theme....what do you think? I have always been drawn to blues of all hues, navy, French, duck egg, sky, wedgewood, bright, dark - you name it! It just so happens that at this particular stage peacock is on the top of the pile  and it seemed like good inspiration to start a blog! So may I present Kelly Green the blog, inspired by my blue Christmas! ( please allow me some artistic license for my first post, as I realise that not all images are what you might technically call peacock blue!!)
