Quintessential Style.

When I landed at Heathrow Airport two weeks ago, one of the first things that caught my eye was the above shop window. It belongs to that purveyor of fine taste Thomas Pink and is especially close to me as I worked there many years ago in the very early days. I took this dreadfully compsed photo because the wallpapered backgrpound was memorable and simply stunning. I was therefore delighted to stumble across the amazing work of Lizzie Allen and to see that this gorgeous wallpaper was in fact one of hers. (you might be interested to know that in my jet lagged state I did ask the store manager if he knew who did the paper and he assured me it was a one of a kind, 'custom made' piece)  Anyhow, I have forgiven said manager and just love the quintessentially British nature of Lizzies work. Look at her Red Buses and Black Cabs....
Tally ho, jolly dee, whacko and absolutley fabulous!

Oh they are just lovely. If I was residing in the UK, I would have to have that very patriotic bus and cab one somewhere in my home! A-M xx
