After my earlier post this week I found out a few interesting points about this Zebrine wallpaper. Most importantly it was designed by Rose Cumming, who was........wait for it...
........an Australian! WOO HOO. She was born on a sheep farm in NSW and although she ended up in New York designing for the wealthy and stylish, we ( I )
are definately claiming her as are own. (right up there with Florence Broadhurst)
Exciting? Don't you think.
So this Aussie ended up with a shop in Park Avenue (is there anywhere else?) and became the toast of the town, designing her own fabrics and wallpaper. As you can see, they are still going strong and are still as relevant in every way .

Nairobi
and another fact........remember this painting?
Well it was painted by an elephant! What the? Yes, the lovely owner of this room above, Cyn, contacted me and gave me the low down. The things you find out!
So, back to Rose.
This, my friends is a stroke of and absolute and pure genius! Wallpaper made to look like a sumptuously padded fabric.

Here's a close up. Isn't it the best?
Rose, my mate, I am only to happy to call you a fellow Australian.(he, he)

I want to live in that second room. I might never leave..except for a snack.
Room number 2. Why doesn't my house look like this?! I love it. And I love the tufted wallpaper. So chic.

yay ozzie! That padded look wall paper would cause so many injuries in my home...what we need is wallpaper that doesnt look padded but is, just in case, lol
