My entry way is getting a mini revamp before Christmas. Why is there a crazy rush for curtains, blinds, and just a general tidy up before December 25th? It's funny isn't it, cos after Christmas it doesn't really matter!

In typical 'me' form, they couldn't be more different!!! Now to find something mid way between the two!

Oh I love it! I've been trying to get my living room all cleaned out, and redone.....well the parts that are in the budget atleast! I can't believe the Holidays are here! And yes I consider the Holidays here in the beginning of November, cause if you don't start planning now, you just wont be ready in time!
number 1! i dream of one day having a big enough foyer to put a table in the middle. good luck with the revamp!
I definitely love number two- love the Canovas wallpaper, furniture and light fixture. I actually would like the charcoal door and trim from number one with the accessories/furniture of number two. I am about to revamp my foyer too- lots of fun!!!
It's so funny that we try so hard to spruce things up for company. Why don't we do it just for ourselves to enjoy all year long? I am guilty of trying to change things at the holidays.
A mix between the two would be beautiful.
Love. and Love. A-M xx
I love the sharp clear vision that #1 gives. It is very clean looking. For the first impression, this is the feeling I like!
I really enjoy your blog.
no 1 is perfect. no 2 a little wishy-washy for me.
How funny - I know the person whose house is pictured in No. 2!
Both are beautiful, but I love the warmth of No. 1.
Number one does it for me...

I'm loving the first one. ;-)
Wow two gorgeous images. Love the feel of No.1 reminds me of a stable (in a good way). No. 2 is lovely and fresh and the wallpapered ceiling is a winner. Not much help - either way is fabulous!

There are definitely wonderful elements in both designs but I am partial to number one because it has a warmer feel to it. I think finding the happy medium is the perfect solution.
I actually love them both. But whether you dislike following trends, I say #2, but if you don't care, I say #1!!
They are both gorgeous but I have to go for #1. Love the black doors and the table in the middle. Probably less feminine than the other option too. Makes everyone feel at home!
