A touch of pink turns to gold!

As promised, some more Sam Pynn lovin'.

 I love this! don't you? I mean, the perfect place to drop your bag, kick off your shoes and check your lippy on the way in and do a last minute once over on the way out. Those brown geometrics are calling my name.....hellooooooo 

A wonderfully feminine bedroom with a touch of 'me old mate' blue. 

...............and oh so clever ruffly curtains in the sitting room. Simply yet highly effective. (note to self: must try that one at home ) 

This is Sam's own home, do you think she has a bit of a thing for a touch of pink? I do, and its touch has turned this house to gold! 

I am inspired and organised! Yipeee.........

It's a dull cold day here and I have been madly trying to get my office organised.  I have music on, (GLEE 1 and 2 which is easy listening and good to sing along to since I am at home alone....) have consumed several cups of tea and have been busily sorting all my fabrics and magazine cuttings out. Big news is that I have finally put my inspiration board together................

What joy to get all this out of my files and on to a board where I can finally be.......well... inspired by it! 

I have also sorted all my fabrics..........

It's amazing how doing something like this can make you so happy!!! I feel like all the stars have aligned and my little space is slowly coming together. I' ll show you more next week when I get my desk in and the curtains hung. Bliss and satisfaction = a tidy office!

Love, love, love this 'imperial' bedroom!

Just to show you that the old 'IT' still has its place and still looks darn good, here it is in all it's glory! I think the green would have to be my favourite colourway too. That soft blue makes this room so restful and fresh. Who was it who said "blue and green should never be seen"? Boy, were you wrong!

After the success of the fish,  I am now a total convet to putting wallpaper in places you would least expect to find it! (just make that EVERYWHERE!)

Those round windows could have been tricky to deal with but pale into the background in this set up.

Stunning office and my inspiration.

I stumbled across this super inspiring piccy here yesterday while looking at ideas for my own office. Isn'it heaven? One of my favorite wallpapers, an elegant glass table top and a pop of pink. I would love to be working here........sigh. Anyway, for my own office I have decided to go for something a bit brighter. (mainly because in the interests of economics, I have decided top use fabric I already have from my stash.......one of the many!) Here's a peak at the colour scheme I am planning on using.

I am all painted and ready to go. Fabric is in the workroom so I just need to order a rug and visit Ikea of course............ (OH YES........ AND TIDY AND SORT ALL THE THINGS I TURFED OUT OF MY JUNK ROOM TO MAKE WAY FOR MY NEW OFFICE....) Hopefully consolidating everything in one spot will stop me from working all over the house. Fingers crossed.....

Blue Safari

Am loving these blue images depicting animal prints from the latest Homes & Gardens. These pictures in all their blueness make my heart skip a beat. Beautiful  fabric, perfect trim and eye catching wallpaper - a perfect trifecta. Oh, and did I mention the blue??? ( a quick note on bolsters.......are they making a comeback? Did they ever go out of fashion and are they actually any use?) No matter really, as these ones are just too good to quibble about!

Wave Action.

I have been thinking alot about how to do up my son's room. He is 12. On the cusp of  teenangedom but never too old for a hug from me. I love this room above but those waves would send me giddy everytime I went in to make his bed. (yes - I still do......) I am thinking more along the lines of  navy blue walls. WDYT? Oh, and it will need plenty of storage for all his action equipment like his cricket stuff, water ski, tennis raquet, footy, and all the other bits and pieces boys tend to collect in their travels.

What about these waves? Do you think you could walk here without feeling a little bit unbalanced?

Don't you love these sofas at the end of a bed? If you've got room, go for it...........I know it's probably meant for clothes and odds and ends but I wouldn't be able to resist sitting here before hopping in. Would you?

When you're not really looking.....

.....you come across something wild and crazy like this! Restful? Maybe not - but I have to admit there's something about this room which appeals to me on a "love it -  but not in my home" level! I would however, use this beauty to upholster a bedhead, or just about anything!

Flower Power

This is flower power at its best {without all the sneezing..} A riot of colour and pattern in both wallpaper and cushions designed by Abigail Borg, who describes herself as a 'surface illustrator and designer'. I am sure she is all that but my own description of her would be more like 'extraordinarily talented and totally rocking!' Wouldn't you agree?  Of course, am now desperate to use this....someone? Anyone?
Thank you too to those of you 'following'. I am now at 101 - was watching for my century and it slipped by yesterday whilst on bed rest!    

A dose of the blues.......

What's not to say about these settings featuring a touch of blue by Tom Scheerer? Perfection is a word I don't bandy about willy nilly (are bandy and willy nilly even proper words?!) but Tom, these are that! Especially the table setting with that shade of blue  -  uplifting my friend! I need a bit of inspiration today as  I have woken up with a head cold and dropped the childrens lunch (pasta to go in their new tiffens to warm their cockles at school! ) all over the floor this morning. It's only got to get better from here.............have a good one!

Summer House.

OK, I admit this house is a little over the top to live with all year round, but if I had my own 'summer house' would I decorate it like like this? You bet!

Maybe I would need to make it a 'man free' zone. What do you think? With a bathroom like this, I think so! What about the yellow and white stripes? I just love them - I think I would have made that table a little less gathered and more tailored, but hey - who cares? I would be in a permanent state of happiness living here!

Work in progress.

Usually, my customers prefer that I don't splash their houses all over the www, but I just had to share this  perfectly fishy powder room! I just love how this has turned out! Imagine walking in here to 'powder your nose' and being hit by this! Luckily, everyone loves it and of course it is a big hit with the children of the family. (and all their friends!) What do you think.........? Also a little peak at some wallpaper we put at the back of some book shelves in the girls rooms. Ahhhh....a house full of colour (and fish!).....just dreamy!

Rug love.

I am back after a busy two days sourcing fabrics, carpets and lighting. I thought I would share these two perfect rugs while I collect my thoughts and re - group! As you know I usually go for anything blue and green but today this pink rug is pushing all the right buttons! Anyone want one? I am itching to plan a room around it..........
