A bit of bathroom decadence.

In fact, not a bit of bathroom decadence but a whole lot of it!

 Stephen Karlisch
Who wouldn't want an oil painting in the bathroom in a heavily gilded frame when it looks like this? And shall we talk about those tiles.....I am mad for them. I have always loved white floor and wall tiles for the bathroom but these take the biscuit don't they. They may or may not be original, but either way they have shed a whole lot of light on the tile debate for me.
Please discuss.

Personally, I love a patterned tile over plain white ones...far more interesting...but that is just me and my odd ways I suspect. This is a truly stunning bathroom.

Thank you so much for this terrific picture. I am enamored of the blue, white and mustard handmade cement tiles on the floor. I imagine this bathroom is sunny even when it's raining outdoors. Do you know if the floors were original to the house and when the house was built? Typically these floors were made locally and installed in the 1920s and 1930s. I'd love to know.
