No one asked me............

.......if they could use this picture of my beachhouse! Ok, ok so its not my beachhouse bedroom but IF I had one (a beachhouse that is) then this would be my bedrooom. That's pretty much the same thing....isn't it? 

Lashings of good thick white paint on lining boards always makes me happy, as does good bedlinen. Its a win win really. Now back to reality.....on the hunt for school shoes today!

In bed with Pierre.

Well there are several of us actually. Pierre, Lu lu Dk, Matouk, Gramercy and me. 

Yes, Pierre is his name, designed by the over talented and uber stylish Lu lu Dk (can you tell I preach at her alter?!), produced my Matouk, sent to me by the lovely girls at  Gramercy Home and now slept in by me, me, me!!! 

Can I tell you that this bedlinen in the best I have ever owned. Crisp, yet not crunchy, soft and luxurious and tailored to perfection, and that's not even mentioning the print which I LOVE!  Yes, bold is necessary here. On the domestic side it washes beautifully and I cannot bear for it not to be on my bed. It gets washed and a quick flap in the breeze and it's straight back on again.

  Who would have thought it would take such a collaboration to get a good night's sleep?  

A big thank you to the Gramercy girls for all their help and being so delightful to deal with and thanks also to Lulu, just for being...well.....you! (fawn)

Off the wall.....

well I mean 'on the wall' but don't you think that this wallpaper absolutely takes the biscuit? 

I have used 'book' wallpapers before but this one is a cracker! I found it whilst reading the new mag Matchbook and I must say I'm impressed. Yummy recipes, great stories and fashion right up my street. (now that's saying something.....!)

I am not going to try and make even the most scant link between this stripy dress which I am coveting and the above mentioned day. 

Suffice to say that I am in need of an occasion to wear this dress. 

The colour combo is perfect.

I can only hope that the direction of the stripes doesn't enhance my waist (or other bits) too much when I am preparing pre - party drinks in the kitchen.

Look at this!

I came across a sample of this fabric while looking for one of my clients. I am utterley mesmerised by all the colours and animals.

Watch out as  Matchbook Magazine is about to be launched today. I am in love with their tumblr site called 'Strikes Our Fancy' so will surely love the mag too, after all, it is "a field guide to a charmed life!"

I'm baaaack!

Yes, I wasn't quite dragged kicking and screaming back from the beach but it certainly was hard to think about resuming a faster pace this week. (no thanks to you all who encouraged me to stay and enjoy myself.........he he!) Anyway I  am looking forward to another busy year and have lots of lovely jobs on to get my teeth stuck in to so couldn't stay away for any longer!

   

I saw these amazing paper lamps whilst I was on hols and of course I can't wait to use them for one of my clients. I might even use one for myself as they are completely irresistable!

  I am rather partial to the hanging lights too........

with their beautiful fabric coloured cords. 

........and a couple of these in Kelly Green would be perfect for my kitchen. 

While I am filling my cart with goodies it would be remiss of me not to put one (or a couple) of these in! 

So its back to work for me and look out as I will be popping in to say hi this week and catching up on all the happenings!

An admission.

I am still at the beach.

I am however planning and thinking about all the projects I have to start and although I am not quite in that very cute and nautical rope necklace, I am wearing stripes! So what better place for my creative juices to start flowing for the beginning of the year than here, beachside........right? 

I am back at the end of the week and then I really will have to knuckle down.

No matter, there is plenty to read including a pile of magazines given to us by our beach neighbour who understands my hankering for really good interior fodder.

Best laid plans...

often go astray, especially when I am looking at this everyday. 

I am meant to be blogging daily and keeping you up to date with the latest this and that, but I am weak willled and have succommed to the lazy and relaxing routine of a morning walk, coffee and then beach time. I will return, I promise.........xxxxxxxxxx  

Blues.

As you will know if you read this blog regulary, I am a complete sucker for the colour blue. I know this blog is called Kelly Green, which is a colour I love and use all the time too, but it is blue that I am always drawn back to. When we moved houses a few year ago I tried to recreate our sitting room in soft greens, and I am still trying to undo it and turn it into something I truly love.    

Now this is what I'm talking about!

A touch of leopard is always good too - I must confess to having some in my bedroom. 

I suppose this is a lesson I always preach to my clients, stick with what you love and don't stray too far from your vision, especially when you have to live with it everday!

We are off!

Yes, today will be one of those days where I spend most of it packing and getting organized for our beach holiday!

I won't need a map though as we will only be an hour from home, and that Lily Pulitzer outfit is pure retro genius don't you think? And my suitcase? Suffice to say that its a tad alot bigger than this one. It will be stuffed to the brim with kaftans in all manner of fabrics I had made to see me through Summer.

I will be taking my portable thingamy to blog whilst away from home so I won't be out of touch, however may just continue at a slower holiday pace until I am back to full on work again.
