I couldn't resist re posting this and although not technically designery in the interior mode, it is something that certainly would instantly jazz up your average outside area. And we like that - alot!
I just love these veggie boxes from the The Little Vegie Patch Co. as seen on that most excellent blog, The Design Files.
Whilst my own vegetable boxes lie fallow as I wait for rain and also my husband to top them up with more soil, I am EXTREMELY temepted to tap away and add a couple of these into my online basket. Yes, they deliver them to you and you can even order full of soil and pre planted! what better way to supply your family with home grown veggies?
See....
preplanted!
They also can supply you with all the seeds you need....
I am hooked. Well and truly.
I have just bottled my second lot of chutney from my own tomatos and let me tell you my two bushes are still feeding us daily. There is nothing more satisfying than sitting down to your own produce. (ok, runs a close second to pulling off a room with the wow factor!)
Ayway, I just need some nice white gravel around my own boxes and am eagerly awaiting the sound of the tractor which will bring me my soil, but in the meantime I may just have to sit on my hands......

I love the planting in the crate idea - thanks for the inspiration!
A fun idea. Speaking of tomatoes, have you found that this year's crop is the best tasting ever? Mine are, and I am figuring it must have been the summer (um, did we have any?) weather this year.
I absolutely love this idea but so sad they are not available in the US :( - do you know of anything like this here? I love have a container garden on my porch but now that the trampoline is gone, I have room for a lager patch in the garden. Enjoy the rest of your summer, Cynthia
These are gorgeous! Yes I agree it is lovely to cook with your own produce. x
Hi Kelly
Your Chutney sounds yummy. I agree that anything home grown is so much more delicious. We are still in the deep of winter here, looking forward to planting a few veggies come spring. Love your blog.
