Missing out.

So I am kind of upset that I am missing out on the goodness in Sydney this year at Decoration and Design. What with a new baby in the house, and getting our boy off to boarding school life has been hectic. It is always a busy week on the school calendar........please can you think about that D & D people when you are planning ahead for next year? Anyway, I am sorry to have missed seeing these rugs in person......

They look almost edible......like sticks of candy.

It is also very lucky for me that the fabulous A - M has toured around the halls quite enough for both of us and shared all her beautiful finds to boot! thanks A - M, you are a star!

I also reeeeeaally wanted to listen to the infamous Marty Lawrence - Bullard speak. Once again, my trusty blogger friends saved the day! Thanks go to Mel at Georgica Pond who not only attended the seminar but got a signed book and photo! (green? just a tad....!)
So really I didn't miss to much at all!
Thank you!

Oh yes, and if you 'liked' D & D on facebook, you also get on the spot updates from the goings on! Genius.
In other news, I have had a shoe named after me which is
perfectly apt as I wear these ALL the time!

I mean ballet flats are 'my thing'.
I am quite liking the phrase 'Belinda is back', it has a mischievious ring to it!
He he.... ; )
Check them out here.
Happy week end.

What a fabulous post, Belinda! So much colour and fun. Hope there weren't too many tears packing up the little boarder x

Oh, I am so sorry you are missing out. Not as many displays there this year. Getting smaller every year... hence the limo trips to local warehouses. I just read about your boarding school adventure. Hope he has a wonderful time! A-M xx

So sorry you weren't able to make it but I appreciate the great pics - any chance you would know who makes those fantastic rugs? I was looking for this kind for my boys' rooms - colorful without being feminine. I'll hope over to Mel's blogs to see more. Hope you have a great weekend, Cynthia

Darling Girl, what fun we would have had in Sydney Town! I am back in El-Lay, but had to tell you that right before he flew out there, I sam Martin Lawrence Bollocks shopping at WEST ELM (our version of Freedom). He was in full MLB regalia, distressed jeans, little vestie, ascot and lace up boots. Talking loudly down his mobile to a client about throw cushions! Bless. I almost asked him fora a photo, but was wearing practically the same outfit.

What a bugger you missed him - he truly was fabulous and charming and outrageous! But don't worry you didn't miss that much at the fair, not a great deal of new stuff, and seemed to be fewer exhibitors this year and all the same product. I must admit I've been spoiled after going go the NYIGF last year - nothing really compares! PS thank for the mention x
