Colourless.

It's no secret that I like a home with a bit (well....make that alot) of colour. I am intrigued therfore, as to why I like this house so much. It's probably more of lodge than a house but its colour palette is both calming and subtle. Having said that, it still has a strong sense of presence and certainly I could imagine living here. I love how the deisgner has still used plenty of interesting fabrics and the whilst there is a rustic feel about it, this house is definately not hokey!

So, proof is here. Pale can be interesting, and neutral can be a knockout!

Ah Kelly we are opposites! My home is full of neutrals but I do love the colour others use, just not sure if I could live with it for any length of time. I think the reason this is so beautiful is because there is exactly zero colour, add just a little and it would be ruined. Add a lot and you have a completely different look. xx

Great point! It's good to see how the use of interesting textiles and decorative pieces can give a room just as much appeal as a bold colour can.
