You know those old cottage with an add on at the back, or 'lean to' as we have always called it?
Well, I am always of the opinion that you don't automatically have to knock it off and do the big open plan kitchen living thing. In fact, I rebel against the thought and as long as the flooring and the timber are sound, then lash it with white paint and then just maybe you will end up with something like this.
So any 'knocker - offers' reading this, please reconsider the charm and utter thrill you will feel if you end up with something like this.
This is going straight to my beach house file.

I completely agree! So many of the gorgeous little 'Miner's Cottages' here at home have a lean too kitchen and they always get knocked down. This is a great example of what you can do with some creativity and paint xx
