Just when I was thinking about ditching the chiang mai in my bedroom (us fabric people like do this often as the pull of beautiful fabrics is too strong to keep one for too long!)..... I saw this.
I think it is sublime. I found this in one of my favourite reads, Chicago Home and Garden. It belongs in a house that is particulalry interesting to me as it belongs to the Stephens family. Long time blog readers will remember Marija Stephens from her own blog, Holding Court. Tragically, in 2010, Marija died in a car accident on her way back from a buying trip, leaving behind her husband and two young children. The blogging community felt very sad for a long time, so it was wonderful for me to open the pages of this magazine and see her finished house in all its glory and her family smiling at me from its pages.
Please go and see the rest of it if you get a chance........it is indeed a fitting tribute.
Oh, and I think my dragon will be lingering a little longer because of it.

I stumbled upon Marija's blog only a few months before her untimely and tragic passing. Yesterday I came across a whole host of her entries that I had starred in Google Reader. Unfortunately her blog no longer exists, but I got to reread those entries that I had kept.
I vividly remember her husband's entry informing us all of her passing. I am glad to see that her design lives on in her house for her husband, son and daughter.
I would love to see more pics from the article but unfortunately being from Australia means that I can't readily get my hands on the issue. I hope that her family are doing well.
Thank you for posting this Kelly.

I can't find the house on the website. Is it posted and if so, how do you search for It?
This is the first time I've seen this pattern used on walls and I love it! I was a reader of Holding Court too. Thank you for reminding me of her sweet family.
