I had a lovely day yesterday, if you don't count being saturated to the skin in an unseasonally cold snap.
I went on a garden tour with a group of like minded 'ladies', as a fundraiser for a local kindergarten. The most exciting part was visiting the gardens, one belonging to interior design guru Stuart Rattle and the other to garden designer extraordinare, Paul Bangay. Let me tell you that when these two talents align in one day, there is an overload of good taste to be had.
Stuart Rattle oozes impeccable taste, in all aspects of his life. Have a look at what I experienced yesterday and you will see what I am talking about.
Yes, this beautifully decorated tea house is in the garden, along with a 'champagne pavillion'.
Please excuse the photos, I was lucky to be able to take them at all with the rain pelting into my face and my hands shaking with cold. Luckily they don't actually portray the nature of the day too much, as by the time we reached the second garden we were negotiating hail stones as we alighted from the bus. I dont have any photos from Paul Bangays garden as by this stage had my hands thrust firmly in my wet pockets.....
Depsite all this, the day was truly prefect! The picnic we were served was delicious and the company outstanding. I arrived home to thaw out and glanced in the mirror only to find a bedraggled wretch staring back at me.
Thank you must go to the organizsers for such a wonderful day and also to Stuart and Paul (see......first name terms now...) for allowing us into their perfect worlds.

Oh yes, because it was soooo wet we all squeeezed into Stuart's kitchen for morning tea and just for a fleeting second, as I warmed myself next to the Aga, I was transported into that perfect world and imagined it was mine....all mine! He he he........
